Concept
What is concept are and why is it important - Concept art is to present a message or an idea through imagery. It is important because it helps get the feel and the tone of the video, it helps you visualise what it will be like and that can give the idea of what it will be like.
Visualisation diagrams
(basically a drawing)
In order to see what a product might look like the best way is to draw it out, whether its a websites, products, videos or anything els. This usually has annotations on it with details. This helps come up with concepts. Visualisation diagrams may be drawn up several times before the final and even then the final product may not look exactly like it, it helps visualise the product to be able to make decisions about how to improve the product.
Flat plans
Every magazine, broacher, newspaper or booklet use a flat plan. A flat plan lays out every single page in the booklet in a flat form where you can see what content will be in every page. As well as colour coding to be able to show where adverts are placed and where images as placed. It is a way to demonstrate the booklet as a whole.
Prototypes
(like a sample)
Prototypes are cheaper versions of final products used by companies to see how and if they work. For example a prototype of a kettle could be built out of plastics to see if all pieces fit together easily, if it looks good and if it works.
Mock ups
This is where you might create a logo, name of a company or design to see how it looks by itself or on products of the company that the logo or name is for.
